Pete Egoscue has written many books on the subject and here a few that maybe of interest to allow you to understand the human body and the needs you require to provide it on a daily basis. It also highlights and debunks alot of misconcepts of the health tradional care movement thaty specialist in treating the symptom as the cause, and not looking at the body as a unit, this includes many doctors, surgeons, physiotherapist and chiropractors.

A few of my clients when they first come and see me, can be very nervous, unlike most therapist, I welcome it, because it means that there is some thing really there, that needs to worked on and if it is real to the client, then it is something we can work on together, and solve there and then.
The best therapy uses the resources a client already has and in fact promotes it into a valuable resource. The client obviously when coming to see a therapist has made a distinction between a good and a bad feeling, in fact what has made them think what is a bad or good feeling, it's all about their perception, and if it is only perception, we can then change it.
So when going to see a therapist, it is perfectly fine to be nervous, and remember it's all about getting better, and achieving what you really want to do.
